Colony High Counseling CenterColony
High School Counselors help register students for classes, advise students
on which classes they will need both for high school
graduation and college entrance, and they can be
good listeners when teens have problems outside of
the classroom and need to talk to a trusted adult.
They
are all here for students, and parents and staff. They
will answer any questions regarding both with school,
college information and personal/social issues.

| Mission
Statement |
| The
Mission of the Comprehensive Guidance and the Counseling
Program of Chaffey District is to encourage
and develop the potential, knowledge, skills and
attitudes
of all students; to grow emotionally, socially, academically
and vocationally; and to foster positive and trusting
relationships.
Believing
that each student is valuable in our community, the
Chaffey District’s Guidance and Counseling
Program is based on the following assumptions:
-
All students have dignity and worth.
-
All students’ ethnic, cultural, racial, sexual,
gender and emotional issues are considered.
-
An effective guidance and counseling program is
proactive, an integrated component of the total
instructional program, and is readily accessible.
-
An effective guidance and counseling program facilitates
life-long learners, successful students, responsible
citizens, and productive workers.
-
Every student will have at least one person in the
school system whether it be a teacher, counselor,
administrator, paraprofessional, custodian or librarian
that he/she feels comfortable talking to about learning,
academic issues, social issues, career issues, and/or
family/community issues. All school personnel need
to be aware of and responsive to this responsibility.
